About Mrs. Larmond:

Hi! I am a Paraprofessional working alongside Mrs. Evans teaching Kindergarten in K-1. I love working with children and seeing them learn new things.

I have been married for twenty nine years. I have four grown children, and two twin grandsons. My precious dog Mazi keeps me busy!

I enjoy working in Kindergarten. Prior to working at Chatt Hills, I was a Pre-K Teacher for Eight Years at Chapel Hill Christian School. For the last five years I have been a Paraprofessional here at Chatt Hills Charter School.

Some of my favorite things are spending quality time with my family, traveling, and I absolutely love the beach!

About Mrs. Evans: Hi! Here is a brief bio including a little bit about my family and my personal teaching philosophy-

I have been married to my husband, Ricky for forty two years and we have two grown children Rachel and Levi. We have two grandsons, Oscar and Eddin, and one granddaughter, Murphy! My passions are reading, songwriting, singing, and hiking. As family we enjoy traveling.

I have twenty-two years of experience assisting, mentoring, and teaching elementary students. I believe that engaging the parent/guardian in the instructional process and fostering communication between home and school, will benefit students both

academically and relationally. I try to personalize learning for each student, so they can take ownership of their success. I strive to know students interests and needs and encourage them to set goals. I believe a child’s understanding of the world around

them, whether it be family, nature, sports, music, technology, or art, is directly related to how they can think and express themselves in their academics. When children tap into their interests it guides their understanding and is directly related to the achievement of their educational goals. For young children learning is everything and experience is everything. Children are making discoveries and creating connections daily. Providing opportunities for the growth and development of the whole child is my focus.

I have worked as a Special Education Paraprofessional, a Regular Education Paraprofessional, and as a Kindergarten Teacher. I started my career as an educator in 1996 with Fulton County schools before coming to Chattahoochee Hills Charter school as a founding staff member when the school was created in 2014. Before my time

in education I was a stay at home mom for several years and prior to that I was a computer programmer for a large corporation.

I love working with your scholars and am so excited to watch

as they learn to read, write, work out math problems, experiment

and enjoy learning. I look forward to partnering with you as we assist

your student in achieving his/her maximum potential.
